What’s my next step?
Once you get your number (which may be anywhere from 6 to 10 digits), simply assign an "Item Reference Number" for each of your products. Your combined Prefix and Item Reference number must equal 11 digits.

What’s the difference between a Bookland EAN and an ISBN?
A Bookland EAN is
the bar code represenation
of an ISBN number. For more information about the 10-digit and 13-digit numbers please refer to our ISBN new standards simplified page.

Do I have to calculate my check digit?
You don't need to worry about calculating your check digits.
Our system will calculate them when we create your bar code masters and/or labels.

I have my numbers. Now what should I do?
Let us know what format you prefer: a digital file (DigiMaster™) in any format you choose including EPS, PDF, JPG, TIF, AI, or PSD, film negative or film positive (FilMaster™)
or as black and white camera ready (ReproMaster™).
If you’re unsure, contact your printer or graphic designer.

Yes! DigiMasters ordered weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time will be shipped via e-mail in LESS THAN AN HOUR.

Does my bar code have to be printed
with black bars on a white background?
The preferred color combination is black on white.
If colors are used, dark green, dark blue, indigo, violet, (cold colors of the spectrum) usually are suitable for the bar code. Red, orange, yellow (warm colors of the spectrum)
may be used for the background.

My product is already packaged and printed.
Is there a way I can have my bar code on it?
Yes! We produce bar code labels
